Redis switches to dual source-available licensing model

I see your point, yet the problem of being able to “update” to a different license exists e.g. Linux not being able to use GPLv3. How would you feel if, instead of a CLA, contributors could voluntarily give the ability to change license to a trusted 3rd party?

I’m with Linus on this one: Linux not being able to upgrade to GPLv3 is not really a big deal.

It’s good to see the history broken down like that, but I laughed when part of the author’s call to action to AWS was “rewrite it in Rust”. Mere paragraphs after mentioning the thousands of years of engineering time that AWS has put into making Redis scale.
