Hello and thanks for creating this forum.
The thought of integrating it with the fediverse probably crossed the minds of many contributors, and I understand there are many tradeoffs involved.

I don’t think Discourse allows integration with ActivityPub. It’s its own thing. Theoretically, writefreesoftware could host a mastodon/pleroma/misskey instance, though.
It does, technically. There is a plugin for it, but I don’t really know what the state of that is and how well it works.

I don’t personally feel that an ActivityPub integration is warranted. Not all software has to be plugged into the fediverse IMHO.
