Please try change the term to refer to programs that comply with the four freedoms

this website (and technically the whole software movement) should use something else in its articles to refer to any program that complies with the four freedom. And avoid using free, libre etc

the term can confuse people to think that they don’t have to pay for the program, obviously such misunderstanding can also be cleared by mentioning “(as in freedom)”, but let’s just fade these terms.

and also the libre software is tedious to say.

unfortunately one of the gnu licenses already has used the term in its name, licenses should avoid that term.

if a software complies with the four freedoms, it can easily be referred through sentences and phrases, “this software’s license complies with the core freedoms” or “this software complies with the four freedoms but its license doesn’t have any reciprocal obligations”,

the terms f*** and non-fr** imo should not be used to classify software, rather complies, doesn’t comply or compliant non-compliant etc can be used, examples:
‘This software is complies with the four freedom’

plus even badges/grades can be given to software that comply according to their level of compliance, like ABCDS, and or through stars ratings like :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

other terms like open source name makes it sound like only the source code would be given out, but the movements goals have more to it like the reciprocal conditions, so open source is not a suitable name (plus i heard that the term open source isn’t trademark, probably why specific projects just throw around the term),

The movement can be named after a random name, a historic persons name, or just any gimmicky cool name without using software or source in it.

The term won’t end quickly so let’s try to fade it out as much as possible, this website already uses the term in its name that is bad but may keep the domain name for now.
